Funeral services for Mildred L. Pauls 99, Ogden will be Thursday Jan 17, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at Carson Funeral Home in Ogden with Rev Marty Jacobson Officiating.
Mrs Pauls died Sunday Jan 13, at Boone county Hospital.
Casket bearers are John and Hans Boehm, Gene Cross, Michael Lenus, Denny Meyer and Jim Velky.
Dennis Morgan, organist, will accompany himself in singing " O Love That will not let me go" and "Great is thy faithfulness".
Mildred Pauls was born Feb 17, 1902 at Minburn, the daughter of Cephas and Stella (Goodspeed) Luellen. She attended Minburn High School through 11th grade and graduated from Perry High School in 1919. Her schooling continued at Iowa State College where she graduated with a degree in Home Economics and Agriculture in 1924.
Mildred taught school in Kellerton for two years then moved to Ogden in 1926 and taught at Ogden High School for three years.
She married Jerry D. Pauls July 3, 1928 at Ames. The couple then made their home in Ogden. She later worked for the Boone county Courthouse in the Veterans Affairs Office, a job she held from 1960 until her retirement in 1984.
Mildred was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and McGraw Senior Citizen Center in Ogden and was a 70 Year member of the Order of Eastern Star and a 50 year member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Robert and his wife Joan of Atlantic and four granddaughters, Lois and her husband Loren Jessen of Chariton and their children Andy, Mary, Tommy and Peter, Carolyn and her husband Michael Lehnus of Urbandale> Laurel and her husband Greg Smith of Adkins, Texas and their children, James, Noah, Hannah, Bethany and Luke and Nancy Pauls and her fiance Brad Toberman of Montreal Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jerry Dec 7th 1975, two brothers, Arthur and Clem Luellen and three sisters, Ruth Crowl,Marcia Carris and Gladys Draegert.
Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery Ogden
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be left to Ogden manor Or the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Carson funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
