Marjorie M. Lundgren 82 of 1653 Magnolia Road rural Boone, died May 24, 1997 from congestive heart failure at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cntral Christian Church with the Rev David Avery officiating, Burial is at Pleasant Hill Cemetery southwest of Boone.
Born May 15, 1915, in Marcy Township, she was the daughter of Herbert and Lillian (Wisecup) Bundy.
On Aug 2, 1937 she married Walter E. Lundgren at the Central Christian Church in Boone.
Mrs Lundgren was a homemaker and a member of the Central Christian Church in Boone where she was active in the CFW and the Homebuilders class. She also volunteered with the Ladies Auxiliary at the Boone County Hospital.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1996, a granddaughter and a sister.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Patty Lundgren of Harrisburg, three daughters and son-in-laws. Karen and Leon Wittrock of Boone, Dixie and Wayne Magden of Ames, Vicki and Dean Kent Olson of Boone; 11 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and two nieces and a nephew,
Friends may call tonight until 9 at the Stark-Welin Chapel with the family present from 7-8:30 p.m. Visitation continues Wednesday at the Church from 8:30 am until service time.
A memorial Fund will be established at a later date.
