Richard A. Galeazzi, 76, Quartzite, Ariz., and formerly of Boone, died Oct. 28, 2003, from cancer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Galeazzi, son of Lewis and Hazel (Turner) Galeazzi, was born Nov. 12, 1926, in Melcher.

He graduated from Melcher High School. He served in the Army during World War II.

He graduated from Boone Junior College in 1949.
On July 16, 1949, he married June Olson. The couple moved to Davenport where he worked for Standard Oil for 16 years. They moved to Boone and he worked for Chicago and North Western Railway until his retirement in 1986.

The couple settled in Rainbow Acres in Quartzsite in 1999.

He was a member of the Quartzsite Roadrunners Gem and Mineral Club.

Survivors include his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Vickie Galeazzi; one daughter and son-in-law, LuAnn and Sam Adams, all of Boone; five grandchildren, Scott Galeazzi and his wife, Amy of Chicago City, Minn., Melissa Galeazzi of Lafayette, Colo., Angela Adams of Davenport, Samantha Adams of Ida Grove, and Amber Adams of Cedar Falls, and three great-grandchildren.
