Helen Davis Grant, 94, Covington, La., and formerly of Boone, died Sept. 14, 2003.

The body has been cremated. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Linwood park Cemetery. The Rev. Jessica Johnston will officiate.

Mrs. Grant, daughter of George and Helen (Davis) Gilman, was born on July 2, 1909, in Boston, Mass.
She graduated from Beloit College in Beloit, Wis., in 1931.

On April 4, 1931, she married Kenneth Grant of Woodward.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Mayflower Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter and two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Grant Prather of Covington, La., and Sue Grant Skoglund of Taveres, Fla.; eight grandchildren and eight great grand-children.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa, 811 Story St., Boone, Iowa 50036.

Stark-Welin Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
