William Judson Rule, 70, Austin, Texas, died Nov. 7, 2003.

Funeral services were today at the Beck Funeral Home in Austin.

Mr. Rule was born on Aug. 16, 1933, in Boone County. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Ted Hirsch of Farmers Branch, Texas, and Cathy Smith of Austin, Texas; one son, William B. Rule of California; one daughter-in-law, Amy Royal; grandchildren, John Swearingen, Madison Hirsch, Danny Smith, Sally Smith, Hailey Rule, Andy Rule and Jared Rule; two great-grandchildren; his mother, and one brother, Jim Attey.
