Ruth Rising, 83, Crawford, Neb., and formerly of Boone, died Tuesday at Ponderosa Villa in Crawford.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boone Memorial Gardens in Boone. Burial will follow the service.

Friends may call at Schroeder Memorial Chapel, Sixth and Marshall streets, Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitation continues Tuesday at the funeral chapel from 8 to 9 a.m.

She was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Boone, the daughter of Shelley and Doris (Phillips) Lee. In earlier years, she was a nurses aide at Boone County Hospital.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Mitchell of Crawford, Neb., and Dale Rising of Manville, Wyo.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Glee Zimmerer of Morrill, Neb., and Gwen and Pete Raben of Crawford, Neb.; three brothers, Warren Lee of Ames, Robert Lee of Battle Lake, Minn., and Glen Lee of Boxholm; one sister, Beverly Chrisman of Crawford, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be given to the Crawford Fire and Rescue Service in Crawford, Neb., and may be mailed to Gwen Raben, 127 Pine St., Crawford, Neb. 69339.

Schroeder Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
