Arlene Pauline Sprecher, 80, Ogden, died Monday at the Perry Lutheran Home, Perry. She was born March 23, 1922, in Milo, the daughter of Daniel S. and Anna (Boeschen) Bote. She married Clarence Sprecher Aug. 23, 1947, in Des Moines.
She received her education in the Milo schools and graduated from Milo High School with the class of 1938. She worked in the accounting department for Northwestern Bell for seven years. Following their marriage, she and her husband lived in the Ogden area. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden and the LWML.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1997; one brother; and one child at birth. Survivors include one daughter, Kathryn Sprecher of Des Moines; one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Dena Sprecher of Ogden; and two grandsons, Christopher Sprecher of Johnston and Matthew Sprecher of Ogden.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Ogden with the Rev. Stephen Ude officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden.
Friends may call at Carson Funeral Home, Ogden, Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Hour, LWML or the Perry Lutheran Home.
