Jim Winkelpleck, 50, Stuttgart, AR, died Sunday of cancer. He was born March 5, 1952, in Fort Dodge, the son of Gene and Betty Winkelpleck. He married Marsha Simpson May 8, 1981.

He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. He worked for Stone Container and was a member of the Shriners, the Masons and Community United Methodist Church in Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 2000. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Matt of Monticello, AR and Brian of Stuttgart, AR; his father of Ames; and one sister, Judy Winkelpleck of Clive.

The body has been cremated.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Carson Funeral Home, Ogden, with the Rev. Richard Boatman officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Ogden.

Friends may call at Carson Funeral Home Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.

Memorials may be given to Community United Methodist Church in Ogden.

Carson Funeral Home of Ogden is in charge of arrangements.
