Keaton James Wirtz, 8 months, died Saturday at Boone County Hospital. He was born Dec. 23, 2001, the son of Jaimi Denise Gorman and Shaun Daniel Wirtz.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Paul Wirtz; and his great-grandmothers, Clyda Wirtz and Aldine Gorman. Survivors include his parents; one brother, Trevor Wirtz of Boone; his maternal grandparents, Jeff and Val Gorman of Ogden and Dean and Tami Hartwig of Boone; his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Angel Wirtz of Boone; his maternal great-grandparents, Don and Sharon Crouse of Boone, Paul Gorman of Woodward, Richard and Ann Hartwig of Woodward, and Joe and Barb Stanley of San Janito, CA; and his paternal great-grandparents, Ron and Mary Jane Powell of Wichita, KS and Charles and Sally Jackson of Cedar Vale, KS.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mineral Ridge Baptist Church, Ridgeport, with the Rev. Paul Peebler officiating. Burial will be in Bass Point Cemetery north of Boone.

Friends may call at Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home, 503 Story St., Boone, Monday from 1 to 9 p.m. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation continues Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services.

Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
