Walter Thomas "Tom" Maxwell, Jr., 75, passed from this life on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at his home in Madrid. According to Mr. Maxwell's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no visitation or services held. The family may witness a private committal service at a later date.

Tom was born on June 21, 1930 to Walter Thomas and Mildred M. (Davis) Maxwell in Chariton, IA. He moved to Madrid in 1942 and made his home. Tom was formerly employed with John Deere Company as a Payroll Supervisor for 30 years, until his retirement in 1982.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Lauretta Munson and her husband Elwin of Madrid and Becky Twogood and her husband Roger of Perry; brother, Jerry Maxwell and his wife Marilyn of Payson, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers; two of which died at infancy.
