Esther E. Lundquist, 97, of Fort Dodge, died June 11, 2006, at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge.

Following cremation, grave side services will be held on Monday, June 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Esther is survived by her niece Sondra (Tom) Price, Fort Dodge; sister-in-law Kathryn K. Anderson, Fort Dodge; great nieces and nephews, John Thomas (Stephanie) Price, and their children, Benjamin and Spencer; Carrie Anne (Mark) Whittaker, and their children, Abigail, Grace and Anna; Susan Elizabeth (Tim) Saylor, and their son Ian; and Allyson (Jason) Rushford, and their son Owen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband F. Leonard, her brother Harold Anderson, her sister Clara Linea Anderson, her great nephew James Anderson Price and a niece.

Esther E. Anderson, the daughter of John and Mathilda Kristina (Erlandson) Anderson, was born Nov. 15, 1908, in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. On May 15, 1941, she was united in marriage to F. Leonard Lundquist in Bethany, MO. The couple lived in Boone and she moved to Fort Dodge in 1993 where she had since lived. Esther was employed with the Fort Dodge Serum Company and Montgomery Wards.

Esther was involved in Beau-ce-ant and the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Brush and Palette Club, the Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone and First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fort Dodge. Esther enjoyed painting and drawing. She enjoyed the out-of-doors, playing the piano and organ at church. Esther treasured her Swedish heritage and she will be fondly remembered as a people person and true friend.

Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.
