WAIT, WAITE, DARRAH, SMITH

I am interested in finding out what happened to my grgrandfather GEORGE ELMER WAIT (b. 1864 NY)married 1886 Nebraska to CLARA EVA DARRAH (b.1870 Iowa). Had five children in Nebraska and moved to Iowa and had eight more children in Jasper CO. Last known date of birth of child was 1911. Family lived in Black Hawk, Linn and Jasper Counties. Apparently, GEORGE left his family. At some point CLARA married Frank Smith (by the mid 1930's). PLEASE HELP.
