I found a W.H. Brown, 1859 - 1911, listed as being buried in Westview Cemetery, Block 7, Lot 19, in Big Creek Township (this is near the town of La Porte City, in southern Black Hawk County). This info is from the WPA Cemetery Records for Black Hawk County. I don't know if this is "your" W.H. Brown or not. Also buried in the same Block 7, Lot 19, is a Gay R. Brown, 1877 - 1907.
