Funeral services for Nick Ehr, 86, Jesup, were Wednesday, April 8, 1981, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Athanasius Church in Jesup. Rev. John J. Pitzen officiated. Music was by Mrs. Gerald Drilling and St. Athanasius Choir. Parish rosary was 3 p.m., K. C. rosary at 7:30 p.m., scripture services at 8 p.m., and Fourth Degree K. C. rosary at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday , April 7, at Parker Funeral Home. Burial was in St. Athanasius Cemetery.
Mr. Ehr was born July 30, 1894, in Black Hawk County, and died Mon. April 6, 1981, at Schoitz Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was the son of Nicholas and Katherine Fandle Ehr. On Nov. 14, 1917, he was married to Erma Madenwald in Hankenson, ND. He farmed until his retirement; was a member of the American Legion and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
