Peter Bovey Died
At Gilbertville

Peter Bovey, a well-known retired farmer of Gilbertville, died at his home in that place yesterday after a short illness of only five days duration. Death was due to pneumonia and complications. Deceased was born in Germany on 4-18-1845, coming to this country at the age of 24 and settling in Aurora, Illinois, where he remained for four years. He then came to Orange Twp. where he resided until 10 years ago when he retired from active life and settled in Gilbertville.

In 1874, he married Miss Gertrude Schars in Waterloo and she, with several children, survive him, Henry and William of Orange Twp., Kate at home, Mrs. Frank Frost, Cedar Twp., Mrs Pete Schultz of Eagle Twp., Mrs. Nick Fischels both of Fox Twp., 2 children are deceased.

The funeral will be Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in the Gilbertville church with Rev. Nemmers in charge.
