La Porte Woman Dies as Result of Paralysis

Mrs. William Gipe, who had been in failing health several years and helpless from paralysis for the last 19 weeks, died at 6 a.m. today at her home. She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Della Ott.

Mrs. Gipe was born 61 years ago in Spring Creek township, where she had spent practically all her life.

Other relatives surviving are three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Martha Engledow, La Porte City; Mrs. Etta Harmon, Spring Creek; Mrs. Elizabeth Kephart, Riceville; Ike Lane, Marshalltown and John Lane, La Porte City.
