Doris Marie Tupy was born on May 11, 1932, in Fort Atkinson, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Vsetecka) Tupy. Doris graduated from Calmar High School in 1950.

She worked at Rath Packing Company, Headford Brothers and Hitchens Foundry Company, and Americana Nursing Home.

Doris died at the age of 86 on December 31, 2018, at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Darlene Kimball.

Doris is survived by a sister, Marvelene Davis of Traer; a brother, Duane Tupy of Lincoln, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Doris’ wishes, there will be no services. She donated her body to the University of Iowa School of Medicine.
