Christine Florence DeSerano

Christine Florence DeSerano was born in Waterloo, Iowa on November 29, 1926, daughter of Christian and Marguerite (Herbsleb) Peterson. She graduated from East High School in Waterloo in 1945.

Christine stayed home and took care of her children while they were young and then went to work as a file clerk before retiring in 1994 from Department of Human Services. She enjoyed cross stitching and loved to spend time with her family. Christine was a member of the Rebekah’s and the Eagles.

Christine passed away at the age of 92 on Monday, December 31, 2018.

She was preceded in death with her parents, and two grandchildren, Kathy and Josh.

Christine is survived by her children: Roger (Deb) DeSerano, Stanley (Nancy) DeSerano, Nancy (Ted) Gray, Susan DeSerano, Cheryl Straube, Norman (Deb) DeSerano; and 15 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
