Biography

Genevieve Anna Lear Glenn was born to Roger and Lucinda Lear on June 13, 1978. After fighting a valiant battle with breast cancer, she passed away at Cedar Valley Hospice House, in Waterloo, Iowa, on Thursday, July 12, 2018.

She graduated from Walnut Ridge Baptist Academy in 1997 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Grace College, Winona Lake, IN, cum laude. She married Andrew Glenn on December 15, 2001 at Grace Brethren Church. Gennie worked at Family Management in Waterloo, Blessed Beginnings preschool in Cedar Falls, and as an elementary and preschool teacher in South Bend, Indiana.

She was a faithful member of Grace Fellowship Church and had attended Candeo Church. She was involved with MOPS in Charlottesville, VA and homeschool co-op as she homeschooled her son.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Zachariah Glenn, both of Waterloo; two brothers: W. Erich (Julie) Lear of Cedar Rapids and Nathaneal (Erin) Lear of Colorado Springs, CO; parents Roger and Cindy Lear of Waterloo, IA; and father and mother-in-law, William (Deborah) Glenn of Delphi, IN.
