Biography--

Richard G. “Rick” “Homer” Holmes II, 63, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, July 2, 2018, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

He was born April 14, 1955, in Waterloo, the son of Richard and Viola (Jacobsen) Holmes.

Rick attended West High School.

He was a former member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rick loved visiting with his friends on Facebook.

Survived by his mother, Viola Holmes of Waterloo; son, Richard (Ana) Holmes III of Cancun, Mexico; grandson, Alex Holmes of Cancun, Mexico; sister, Teri (Kevin) Gade of Greene; and a sister-in-law, Linn Holmes of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard Holmes Sr. and two brothers, Scott and Jeff Holmes.
