November 13, 1931 - March 8, 2018

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Delight TePaske, 86, of Lake Suzy, Florida, and formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Florida.

She was born November 13, 1931, in Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Eldon and Edna Ruth (Curtis) MacCanon. She married Russell TePaske on April 6, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa, and they later divorced.

She was employed 20 years by the 1st Judicial District of the State of Iowa. She worked as a juvenile probation officer in the Waterloo office, retiring in 1991, when she moved to Florida.

She is survived by three sons: Larry (Ramona) of Waterloo, Lon (Paula) of Cedar Falls, and Mark (Lori) of Charles City; a daughter, Lynn TePaske of Waimanalo, HI; five grandchildren; and a sister, Rosemary Herrick of Walnut Creek CA; and a brother, Richard MacCanon of Lakeland, FL.

Memorial Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, at First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Delight belonged to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Charlotte County, Florida and was very dedicated to a belief that every person is responsible for his own search for truth and meaning in life, in affirming the use of reason, living with integrity and compassion, and in working for social justice.
