Biography--

Dawn M. Anderson, 59, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Covenant Medical Center, in Waterloo, on Friday, March 23, 2018, of natural causes.

Dawn was born on July 9, 1958 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd Sr. and Jeanette (Rausch) Matejka. She attended West High School.

Dawn married Charles Edward Anderson on February 24, 2003, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2010.

Survived by her son, TJ (Caryn) Lindholm of Marion; daughter, Ashley (Darius) Marsh of Marion; five grandchildren: Michael Tanner, Hannah Lindholm, Christian Lindholm, Mika Marsh and Ayden Marsh; sister, Joanne Henson of Grundy Center; three brothers, Floyd (Jill) Matejka Jr. of Morrison, John (Gail) Matejka Sr. of Grundy Center, and David (Patrice) Matejka of Livonia, MI; boyfriend, Johnny Garcia of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Weisert.

Dawn was a loving mother, awesome grandma and terrific storyteller with a great sense of humor and vivid imagination. Dawn always knew what to say, could easily pick up your spirits, and a child at heart. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, yardwork, gardening, summer, and playing with her fur-babies. She loved black iced tea, Dentyne Fire Gum and spicy food.
