Biography--

Stanley K. Ochsner, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

Stanley was born November 24, 1940 in Sutton, Nebraska, the son of Marlin & Eileen (Salmen) Ochsner. He married Linda King on July 24, 1966 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Stanley graduated from the University of Nebraska in Agricultural Engineering with a Bachelor and Masters of Science Degrees.

He worked for John Deere at the Product Engineering Center for most of his professional career, retiring in 1993. Stanley was a member of Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Cedar Falls; three sons, Scott (Beth) Ochsner and Darrin Ochsner, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Chad Ochsner of Milaca, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Katherine, Anne and Luke Ochsner; two brothers, Jim (Cathy) Ochsner of Ogallala, Nebraska and Jon (Lori) Ochsner of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; his sister in law, Beverly Ochsner of Sutton, Nebraska; nieces and nephew, Teresa (Jason) White, Doug (Kellie) Ochsner, and Amy (Dan) Baumert.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Ochsner.

Services will be Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church with inurnment at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.

Stanley loved his family, fishing and friends. He was a quiet, humble and generous servant of God. His family was the light of his life.
