Mary Ann Vick was born July 2, 1932, in Dubuque, the daughter of Joseph & Mary (Polansky) Hruska. She was married to Robert Eugene Vick on October 18, 1952, in Cresco, Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1980. Mary Ann was employed by Hallmark for many years until her retirement. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Mary Ann passed away at UnityPoint Health-Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, Iowa, on Friday, March 9, 2018, at the age of 85 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and by her brothers: Stanley Hruska, Jerry Hruska and Chuck Hruska.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Gary (Karen) Vick of Raymond; daughter, Stephanie (Chuck) Bass of Elk Run Heights; five grandchildren: Stacey (Darin) Drilling, Kara (Wade) Kressley, Corey (Randi) Vick, Lindsay (Casey) Taylor and Nick (Cassey) Bass; eight great-grandchildren: Wittney Mast, Samantha Drilling, Taylor Mast, Dakota Drilling, Keegan Bass, Garrett Bass and, arriving in May, Oliver Bass.
