Betty Ann Narigon

June 21, 1931 - December 16, 2017

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Betty Ann Narigon, 86, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Indianola and Ft. Dodge, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Western Home Communities-Martin Center in Cedar Falls.

She was born June 21, 1931, in Crawford, Nebraska, the daughter of Lawrence H. and Vivian Goodfellow Rock. She married Joseph E. Narigon December 20, 1950 in Griswold, Iowa.

Betty graduated from Atlantic High School and attended Iowa State College (now Iowa State University). She worked part-time in retail and later at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge as a resident activity coordinator for many years. Upon retirement, they moved to Holiday Island, Arkansas and later to The Village Retirement Community in Indianola.

Survived by: husband of Cedar Falls; two sons, Edward (Sara) Narigon of Cedar Falls and Michael (Kim) Narigon of Manhatten Beach, CA; daughter, Nancy (Warren) of Kansas City, MO; daughter-in-law, Nancy Sue Narigon of North Oaks, MN; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruth Green of Portland, OR, Jean Jensen of Huron, SD, and Judy Juhler of Des Moines, IA

Preceded by: parents and one son, Thomas Narigon.

Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 at The Village in Indianola, with inurnment at a later date in the Iowa Veteran Cemetery, Adel. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Betty enjoyed traveling, sewing, knitting and spending time with grandchildren. She was active in the P.E.O., Red Hat Society, Methodist Women’s organizations, and volunteering at the library.
