Biography--

Lillian Alice Danielson, 78, of Cedar Falls, Iowqa, died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa.

She was born December 4, 1938, in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of William Wesley and Violet Lillian (Irish) Dotson.

Lillian graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1957. She married Theodore E. “Ted” Danielson on May 5, 1957 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; he preceded her in death on May 24, 2011.

She worked at the University of Northern Iowa in the Towers Dining Hall for 21 years, retiring in 2002. Lillian was a member of Grace Community Church (formerly Glad Tiding Assembly of God) where she taught Sunday school. She was also a vegetable gardener and quilter. She loved birds and other animals, including her cats and her dog, Max.

Lillian is survived by three sons: Darwin (Sue) Danielson of Urbandale, Dwayne (Cindy) Danielson of San Bernadino, CA, and Darren Danielson of Waterloo; three daughters: Donita (John) Dettmer of Waverly, Darla (Rick) Cullen of Andover, MN, and Denise Daniels of Arlington, TX; seven grandchildren: Luke (Amanda) Dettmer and Daniel and Noah Dettmer, Grace and Ted Cullen, and Joe and Katie Danielson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted; and a brother: Robert Dotson.
