Biography--

Donna Mae Wion, 85, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Cedar Falls Heath Care Center, of natural causes.

She was born May 3, 1932 in Grand River, the daughter of Fred Lloyd and Goldie (McCarl) McDowell.

She married Arnold “Curly” Wion on October 22, 1949 in Leon, Iowa; he preceded her in death on May 8, 2017.

Survived by: two sons, Ronald (Kate) Wion of Waterloo, Rickey (Beth) Wion of Waterloo; a son-in-law, John Newman of Washburn; seven grandchildren, Trenton Wion, Jeremy Wion, Chris Wion, Brandi (Tim) Ovel and Carey Newman, Ann Wion, Bryan (Cintha) Sulaiman; ten great grandchildren and two sisters, Myrna (John) Jamieson of Waterloo and Verna Brietbach of Glendale, California.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; two daughters, Carole Wion and Diana Newman; one grandson, Patrick Newman in infancy; one great grandson, Brett Sealock; a brother Kenneth McDowell and a sister, Twyla Hough.
