Lois M. Heath (1922-2008)

WATERLOO, IOWA - Lois M. Heath, 85, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008.

She was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Fayette, daughter of Francis and Pearl Proctor Kimpston. She married Bobby D. Heath on Oct. 24, 1950, at Hudson Community Church, Hudson. He died June 11, 2002.

Mrs. Heath received her teaching degree from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, then taught for more than 45 years, starting in country schools and then at Whittier and Longfellow elementary schools.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa (Tim) Nicholas of Waterloo; by a son, Bobby E. of Cedar Falls; by three grandchildren: Carrie Corson, Justin Corson and Lindsey Corson, all of Waterloo; a great-grandchild, Alec Corson; three brothers: Howard P. Kimpston of Waterloo, Richard B. (Anamarye) Kimpston of Eden Prairie, Minn., and A. Bruce (Judy) Kimpston of Des Moines; a brother-in-law, Curt Gremm of Decorah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Brockway and Leona Gremm.

There will be no services. Burial will be in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
