Albert E. Robinson, Sr., 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Cedar Valley Hospice House.
Albert was born May 19, 1942 in Waterloo, son of Willie A. and Nicola (Amos) Robinson. He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1959, and he was the state wrestling champion the same year. Albert joined the Army Air Corps from 1960-64.
He married Doris Triplett; they were later divorced. He then married Michelle Hansel on February 14, 1986 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Albert was a supervisor at MidAmerican Energy for many years, and most recently worked at the University of Northern Iowa in the power plant for eight years.
He was a Jehovahs Witness and member of Virden Creek Kingdom Hall.
Albert is survived by: his wife, Michelle; nine children: Stacey (Leonard) Woodall of Oxford, Miss., Albert E. Robinson, Jr. of Waterloo, Frank L. (Helen) Hansel, Jr. of Independence, Avery E. Robinson of Waterloo, Allen S. (Angie) Robinson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Marshall H. Hansel of Traer, Alex E. (TaShanti) Robinson of Waterloo, Aric S. (Kristy) Robinson, Sr. of Oelwein, and Synamyn (Eugene) Rucker, Sr. of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; two brothers: Tim (Pam) Robinson of Waterloo and Darryl Robinson of Waterloo; and one sister, Shirley (Grant) Ferguson of Texas.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers: William and Mike Robinson; and one sister, Barbara Sykes.
