Biography--

Paulette R. Glaspie, 70, of Waterloo, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center. She was born October 18, 1946 in Waterloo the daughter of Paul and Kathryn (Morelock) Taylor. Paulette was a 1965 graduate of Waterloo East High School and received her LPN degree from Hawkeye Community College.

She married James R. Glaspie, Sr. on January 28, 1967 at the Salvation Army Chapel in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on April 6, 2017.

Paulette worked as an LPN at Harmony House and retired from Arrowhead Clinic, working as Dr. Larry Standing’s nurse for many years.

Survived by: two sons, James R. (Jan) Glaspie, Jr. of Cedar Falls and Jeff Glaspie of Des Moines; a daughter, Jennifer Glaspie of Waterloo; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Pauline Bickner of Waterloo and Paula (Mike) Wyant of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; and one granddaughter.
