Annice Carol Frederick

Cedar Falls, Iowa – Annice Carol Frederick, age 90, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Windridge of Western Home Communities.

She was born December 5, 1926 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Clyde and Ruth (Carlson) Hurley. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School, and received a BA from the University of Iowa. Prior to marriage she taught art in the Independence School District.

On June 7, 1952, she married Ray Frederick in Fort Dodge. She taught adult education courses and was a substitute teacher in Marshalltown. She always considered herself a life-long teacher and artist.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Bruce (Elise) of Plymouth, MN; a daughter, Denise (Sam) Barr of Cedar Falls; and four grandchildren: Bob Long of Chicago, IL, Kristin (Greg) Hanggi of Iraan, TX, Kelly (Jon) Bahr of Seattle, WA, and Bethany Barr of Waterloo; also by three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn McNulty, and Arlene Zeka.

Services will be 11am Saturday, July 1 at the First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls.
