Obituary--

Martha Kay Leopard, 64, of LaPorte City, died Tuesday, June 27 at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born December 11, 1952 in Waterloo, daughter of Donald and Beverly Lyon Smucker. She married Lawrence “Larry” Leopard August 10, 1974 at First United Methodist Church in Waterloo.

Martha graduated from Waterloo West High School, UNI, and was self-employed as a real estate appraiser in Black Hawk County and recently worked at Fareway Grocery Store.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Sam (Victoria) Leopard of Justin, Texas; a daughter, Kate (Jaime Kujawa) Leopard of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Kaylynn and Keegan, Savannah and Kline; a sister, Sandi (Tom) Allen of Fort Collins, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Smucker and a sister, Nancy Young.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Public visitation will be for an hour before services.
