Buddy J. Jones, 66, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, June 22, at St. Mary’s Hospital of The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.

He was born November 10, 1950 in Waterloo, the son of George and Tootsie Stanley Jones. He married Jodie Good on June 5, 1970. They later divorced. He married Pam Weltzin on August 23, 1989 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

Buddy owned and operated George Jones & Sons Asphalt and Paving until retirement.

Buddy was survived by his wife; a son, Shannon (Roxanne) Jones of Denver; three daughters: Lisa (Michael) Allen of Pensacola, Florida, Breanna Jones of Waterloo and Mandy (Brian) Longacre of Newton; seven grandchildren: Josie and Priscilla Jones, Analiesa, Caius and Kennon Allen and Gage and Kamden Longacre; two brothers, Robert Jones of Dallas, Georgia and Richard (Donna) Jones of Waterloo; and a sister, Lisa (Mike) Kearney of Mt. Auburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Matthew Lentzkow; and a sister, Linda Stevens.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Celebrations First Assembly of God Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street and for an hour before services on Monday at the church.
