Obituary for Mariel E. Distler--

Mariel E. Distler, 62, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, March 23, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

She was born January 5, 1955, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Lena Sadler Distler.

She attended Columbus High School and received her GED in 1978. She was employed with John Deere.

Survivors include three sisters: Susanna (Gary) Sankey of Cedar Falls, Jane Dallenbach of Waterloo and Christina (Mark) McGraw of Davenport; three brothers: Raymond (Mary) Distler of Raymond, Mark (Sandy) Distler of Waterloo and Thomas (Nancy) Distler of Solon, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother-in-law, Dennis Dallenbach.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28 at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be for an hour before services.
