Angie Amundson was born on May 24, 1979, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Don and Diane Barfels. She graduated from Expo High School and went on to work for Ledermans as a sales clerk. Angie enjoyed being outdoors whether it was for camping, fishing, or doing work in her garden.

On Monday, February 13, 2017, Angie passed away at Cedar Valley Hospice Home at the age of 37, with her loving family surrounding her.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell J. Amundson.

Angie is survived by her significant other, Troy Fitz and his daughter Emily Fitz; her parents; son, Layne Walker; daughter, Eva Barfels; and a brother, Anthony H. Amundson of Evansdale, Iowa.
