Biography--

Marion H. Dehut, 94, of Madrid, formerly of Jesup, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Madrid Home for the Aging.

She was born August 30, 1921 in Waterloo the daughter of Charles Walter and Bertha (Nordman) Hyde. She was a graduate of Waterloo West High School. Marion married Loyd W. Dehut on June 20, 1943 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death in April of 1987.

She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Jesup and the Independence Merry Mixer Square Dancers.

She is survived by three daughters: Jean Bakken of Lakeville, Minnesota, Cheryl (Lindsay Haisley) Dehut of Leander, Texas; Kay (Mark) Edmund of Polk City; by five grandchildren: Tammy (Larry) Gendron of Flower Mound, TX, David Bakken of Minneapolis, MN, Sonya Edmund of Polk City, Alison Edmund of Makanda, IL, Aaron (Ashley) Edmund of Minneapolis, MN; by three great-grandchildren: Aaron and Ben Gendron and Cruz Rice; and by two sisters, Betty Smith of Waterloo and Edna Adams of North Carolina.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and by three sisters: Elsie Lawson, Lucile Trask and Ruth Smith.
