Biography--

Sharon Kay Staley, 75, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Cedar Falls Health Care Center, Cedar Falls, Iowa, on August 8, 2016.

She was born on April 27, 1941, in Black Hawk County, Iowa, the daughter of Fay and Hazel M. (James) Renslow. Sharon attended Waterloo West High School.

She married Thomas L. Staley on January 22, 1966 in Chicago, IL; he preceded her in death on April 16, 2001.

Sharon worked as a housekeeping assistant for Comfort Inn and Econo Lodge, retiring in 2001. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Sue (Howard) Durnin of Waterloo and Ann (Pat) Wesson of Texas; a brother, Jim Renslow of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; son, Steven Prett; brothers, Bob Renslow and Don Renslow; sisters, Cassie Jackson and Bev MacMahon; and by a great-niece, Bryar Gaede.
