Services:
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Visitation:
Family will meet with friends one hour before the service at the church.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be held at a later date at the West View Cemetery in La Porte City.

Biography--

Gregory J. Wagner, 55, of La Porte City, Iowa, died Friday, August 26, 2016, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born April 7, 1961, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Robert J. and Doris (Wendling) Wagner. He was a graduate of La Porte City High School.

Greg was a handyman who could fix anything. He was currently working as an estimator at Menard’s in Cedar Falls, and he loved his job as well as the people he worked with. Greg loved to cook and experiment with new recipes, he enjoyed attending Prairie Lakes Church every Sunday, and he adored his two dogs, Charley (Chuck) and George.

Greg is survived by his mother, Doris Wagner of La Porte City; two daughters, Whitney Lamb and Christy Wagner, both of Cedar Falls; his wife, Cindy Herman of La Porte City; two step children, Skyler Hager of Nampa, Idaho and Ashley Hager of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Steve (Kristi) Wagner of La Porte City; one sister, Diane (Steve) Roberts of La Porte City; and seven nephews and nieces: Jessie Tharp, Jill Buckingham, Kirk Mahood, Lauren and Lexi Wagner, and Josh and Sarah Roberts.

Greg is preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Justin Roberts.
