CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Susan Michelle Dunakey, 46, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, August 8, 2016, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 7, 1969, in Waterloo, daughter of Bryan and Beverly (Simon) Redenius. She married Jeffrey Dunakey on September 15, 1990 in Parkersburg, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2005.

She graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1988 and earned her Dental Assistance training through Hawkeye Tech. She previously worked as a dental assistant for Dr. James Townsend.

She is survived by a son, Tyler Dunakey of Cedar Falls; her mother, Beverly Redenius of Cedar Falls, her father and stepmother, Bryan and Rebecca Redenius of Parkersburg; two brothers, Michael (Gayla) Redenius of Grundy Center, and Andrew (Crystal) Redenius of Waterloo; a sister, Elizabeth (William) Kehret of Waterloo.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church (4820 Oster Pkwy, Cedar Falls), with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
