HUDSON, IOWA – Julie Williams, 56, of Hudson, died August 10, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.
She was born on October 12, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of Max and Mary Ann (Kimberly) Meyers. She married Todd Williams in 1985 and they later divorced.
She graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School and was employed in road maintenance with the Iowa DOT and later worked for Black Hawk County road maintenance, operating a road grader in La Porte City until October 1999.
Julie accepted Christ as her savior and served dutifully as a faithful member of both Waterloo Worship Center and Cornerstone Fellowship Churches. She was a hard worker and in her leisure she enjoyed gardening, bible study, driving tractor, riding horses, lifting weights, serving others and testifying before God. She loved her family and Jesus to the end.
She is survived by a son Daniel Williams of Hudson; her father Max Meyers of Clarksville; two sisters, Kim (Gary Wheeler) Renfrow and Connie (Jeff) Assink, both of Cedar Falls; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Meyers.
Family directed Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Cedar Falls with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
