CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Laura J. Dreesman, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at UPH-Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born December 20, 1946 in Decorah, Iowa, daughter of Osmund and Eunice (Seeley) Larson. She married Bernard Dreesman on July 31, 1971 at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Decorah. He died July 9, 2016.

She graduated from Waukon High School in 1965 and earned her BA degree in American History from Wartburg College in 1969. She was employed in sales at Black’s Department Store, Younkers, and then Maggie’s Children’s Clothing Store in downtown Cedar Falls.

She is survived by a daughter, Tina (Duane) Kitchen of Cherry Valley, IL; two sisters, Deborah (David) Catron of Orlando, FL, and Diane (Steve) Guberud of Spring Grove, MN; a sister-in-law, Dori (Larry) Ressler of Waterloo; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Dreesman of Solon.

She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Connie Dreesman; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Egge.

Memorial Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.
