GRUNDY CENTER, IOWA – Beverly K. Haman, 62, of Grundy Center, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo of complications from a 38-yr battle with lupus.

She was born October 30, 1953 in Grundy Center, daughter of Jake and Dorothy (Ritchey) Beenken.

She graduated from Grundy Center High School in 1971.

Beverly is survived by a daughter, Dawn (Charles) Rivers of Longwood, FL; a son, Derick (Amanda) Haman of Waynesville, MO; her mother, Dorothy Beenken of Grundy Center; two brothers, Dennis Beenken and Steven (Kate) Beenken, both of Grundy Center; a sister, Carol (Joe) Doerges of Spearfish, SD; four grandchildren, Ashling and Kyleigh Rivers, Charlotte and Sophia Haman; and four nephews, Bryan and Justin Beenken, Kyle and Trent Doerges.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Private family services are scheduled with burial in the Reinbeck Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Dorothy Beenken, 1305 6th Street, Grundy Center. Richardson Funeral Service assisted the family.
