WATERLOO, IOWA – Peggy E. Schelich, 65, of Waterloo, died Monday, August 15, 2016, at Country View Care Center in Waterloo.

She was born September 11, 1950, in Storm Lake, Iowa, daughter of Merle and Helen (Girard) Graeber. She married David Schelich in November of 1975, and they later divorced.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1969 and then Pitze’s School of Beauty. She was a Beautician in the Waterloo area.

She is survived by two brothers, Dennis Graeber of Reinbeck and Dave (Maureen) Graeber of Waterloo; a sister, Mary Meeker of Waterloo; and six nieces and nephews: Chris Graeber, Lisa Herselius, Melissa Doocy, Amanda Sroka, James and Tommy Meeker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in-law, Linda Graeber; and a brother-in-law, Tom J. Meeker.

Services are Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Janesville with burial in the Finchford Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, and also for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
