CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Adolph B. Wald, age 88, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, November 21, 2016, at his home.

He was born May 9, 1928 in Stanley, Wisconsin, son of Adolph Frank and Abbie Bell (Carpenter) Wald. He married Florence J. Dudansky on May 6, 1950 in Thorp, Wisconsin.

He had been active duty in the US Army and was then active in the reserves for 41 years, retiring from the Army Reserves Center in Waterloo.

Adolph is survived by his wife of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Jacqueline Wald of Cedar Falls and Colorado Springs, CO; three sisters and one brother.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey A. Wald.

Services: Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49, Disabled American Veterans, American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association for research.
