David E. Knapp

April 27, 1934 - January 17, 2017

CEDAR FALLS. IOWA – David E. Knapp, 82, of Cedar Falls died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

He was born April 27, 1934, in Harlan, Iowa, son of Neil and Ruth Knapp. He married Wilma Jean Bronscum on February 24, 1961. She died March 14, 2013.

He graduated from Harlan High School and served in the United States Army. He earned his Engineering degree from Iowa State University was employed as a supervisor with John Deere, retiring in 1985.

Survived by: two daughters, Dorothy (Terry) Fleshner and Kathleen (Craig) Olmstead, both of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Powell of Texas.

No services are scheduled at this time.
