CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Adys J. Taber, 88, of Cedar Falls died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Rosewood Estate in Waterloo.

She was born May 22, 1928, in Austin, Minnesota, daughter of Jesse and Anna (Muson) Amble. She married Ralph L. Taber on June 22, 1947 in Waterloo. He died August 23, 1987.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1946 and was employed in sales with Stumme Jewelry and Von Maur, retiring in 1996.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Joe) Bruns of Cedar Falls and Laurie (Lee) Schissel of Waverly; one son, Richard Taber of Willow Park, TX; eight grandchildren: Jenn and Kate Bruns, Amanda (Luke) Dettmer, Leigh, Ryan (Denise), and Brandon Schissel, Joshua (Jessica) and Anna Taber; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jacob and Stella.

Preceded in death by: a brother, David Amble; her mother, Anna (Elmer) Tufte; and father, Jesse Amble.

Services: Thursday at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories in Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service and also for one hour prior to the service at the church.
