CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Darlene “Suzie” Scrivner, 90, of Cedar Falls died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born November 2, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of Tyler and Maude Harris Calkins. She married Gordon Scrivner on July 15, 1946 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. He died November 15, 1996.

She graduated from Ladysmith High School in Wisconsin and was a parking meter attendant for 22 years with the City of Cedar Falls Police Department, retiring in 1988.

Suzie is survived by two daughters, Linda (Bob) Kramer of Lakeland, FL and Louise “Lou” Riley of Waterloo; four grandchildren: Michael (LaShay) Kramer, Daniel (Cat) Kramer, Nicholas (Lisa) Riley and Lucas (Ashley) Riley; and one great-granddaughter, Peyton Riley.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Calkins.

Services: Friday, February 3, at Richardson Funeral Service with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
