Richard L. "Dick" Timion, 91, of Waterloo, died at ManorCare Health Services on Monday, August 8, 2016.
Dick was born on May 26, 1925 in Waverly, the son of Louis and Elsie Martin Timion.
He graduated from Janesville High School in 1942. He entered the United States Marine Corps on May 17, 1943 at the age of 17. He served during World War II and was discharged with the rank of Corporal on November 11, 1945.
Dick married Ella Mae Sigler on November 7, 1953 in Waterloo. She died August 8, 2015.
He worked for Deere and Co. for 38 years as a tool maker, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Waterloo Eagles Club.
Survived by: stepsons, Tom Crow of Denver, CO and Jim Sigler of Santa Rosa, CA; eight stepgrandchildren, Sharon Jenison of Waverly, Becky Rumsey of Waterloo, Dwayne (Rebecca) Rumsey of Cedar Falls, Nicolle (Brendt) Bryant of Independence, Jarret (Emily) Sigler of Santa Rosa, CA, Amanda Sigler of Petaluma, CA, Melanie (Jeff Mask) Crow of Thornton, CO, and Philip Crow of Denver, CO; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; five stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne Timion of Bagley, WI.
Preceded in death by: a sister, Kathryn Sickles; stepdaughter, Anita Gould; stepson, Craig Sigler; a sisters-in-law, Ruth Timion and Norma Gerholdt; brother-in-law William Crow Jr.; and stepgranddaughter-in-law Julie Rumsey.
