Biography--

Dorrene Entz, 94, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Friendship Village Pavilion on Monday, August 8, 2016.

Dorrene was born June 10, 1922 at home in Butler County, east of Greene, daughter of Isaac and Nellie Damro Tack.

She married John M. Entz on July 24, 1948, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waterloo. He died May 30, 2016.

Dorrene graduated from Greene High School in 1941 and Iowa State Teacher’s College in 1943.

She taught at Orange Elementary and throughout the Waterloo Community School District for 20 years.

Dorrene was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1530 Club, Quota Club, Potluck Group for 50 years, bowling league for 20 years and was a 4‑H Leader.

She is survived by son, Eddie (Kathy) Entz of Waterloo; son, Mike (Karen) Entz of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Kathy (Mark) Ross of Marshalltown; son, Dr. Richard Entz of Traverse City, Michigan; 10 grandchildren: Matthew Entz, Jennifer Delagardelle, Blake Faris, Alex Entz, J.J. Ross, Sara Ross High, Tyler Perkette, Abbie Entz, Emily Entz, and Isaac Entz; eight great‑grandchildren; and a sister, Lorraine Brinkman of Allison, Iowa.

Dorrene was preceded by a grandson, Bobby Ross.
