Biography--

Bruce Fairbanks, 76, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

He was born February 11, 1940, in Waterloo, son of Glen and Gladys Fairbanks. He married Marlene Hummel Doeppke on March 8, 1981, in Waverly. She died February 1, 2008.

Bruce worked in the heating/cooling and plumbing trade. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era from 1958-1967.

He is survived by a daughter, Tina Sprague of Waterloo; a granddaughter; a sister, Doris; and many nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.
